You Will Be Remembered.
“Now a new king arose over Egypt, who did not know Joseph [nor the history of his accomplishments]”. (Ex 1:8). Before the above text, the Israelites had moved to join the Egyptians in the days of Joseph. Years after his death, a new king arose who neither knew nor had heard of Joseph.
It is unheard of and uncommon for a new king not to know about his nation’s predecessors or history. In this case, it was particularly questionable in the face of the Israelites on the land of Egypt. After all his hard work and sacrifices, Joseph was forgotten. Just like Joseph, your hard work and sacrifices may have been overlooked by your leaders, colleagues or relatives. You have given out your all and best to someone, yet they still did not appreciate you. Regardless of what you have been through, never stop putting in your best. Your day of remembrance is here. The Lord will stir up your helpers, and you shall be remembered for a blessing (Est 6:1-11).
