“Then it happened, when Ahab saw Elijah, that Ahab said to him, “Is that you, O troubler of Israel?” And he answered, “I have not troubled Israel, but you and your father’s house have, in that you have forsaken the commandments of the Lord and have followed the Baals.” (1 Kgs 18:17-18). If you intend to be great in life, you must be prepared to be called names. Elijah was called a troublemaker because he caused a lot of disruptions in the land of Samaria. In the preceding chapters, Elijah always acted to ensure that the people of Israel would repent of their sins and serve God. He commanded that there would be no rain for a few years, bringing a whole nation to a standstill by the word of his mouth. He brought famine to the land, killed all the 450 false prophets of Jezebel, and commanded fire from Heaven. At the end of it, all Elijah turned the hearts of the Israelites toward God. To move higher in life, you need three things to be a “Trouble maker.”
· Have the spirit of boldness.
· Be filled with the Holy Spirit.
· Operate in the supernatural power of God, evidenced by miracles.
