“Then Samson prayed to the LORD, “O Sovereign LORD, remember me.” (Jg 16:28). Samson had a good start in life. He was born out of prophecy, had a purpose, and was given power from above. But when Samson grew up, he shifted away from his goal; the very people he was supposed to fight were the people he dined with and married. Secondly, he never acknowledged God for his exploits. Throughout the book of Judges, he never recognised God for his exploits. The only time he prayed to God was at his point of death when he had lost his hair and his strength and was handed over to his enemies. Then he prayed to the LORD to remember and strengthen him once more to take revenge against the Philistines.
For God to remember you is for Him to make His purpose manifest in your life, you must go through three steps;
· Reflection.
· Repentance
· Restoration
You first need to reflect on your life and repent of your sins. Ask the LORD for His mercies and forgiveness, then pray for restoration.
