When you study the creation account in Genesis 1, you will observe that God created man on the 6th day after making everything else. His rest on the 7th day was man’s first day on earth. In other words, God’s day of rest was man’s first day of living. Adam didn’t meet God working; he met Him resting. If you have found yourself toiling and stressed out, it’s time for a change despite being born again. First, cultivate a new mindset and realise that God made you for His pleasure (Rev 4:11). He created you to be pleased and happy about you and for your life to glorify Him. Then, say, “I refuse the strenuous life and embrace joy and success in Jesus. I have been given everything richly to enjoy; I don’t lack anything because everything is mine.” Your life in Jesus is one of immeasurable grace, glory, dominion, joy and righteousness; it is an extraordinary life of recognition from a position of rest. So, keep dominating and subduing your world from a place of rest.
