Inspiration 99

As believers, we realise that only God can provide the fulfilment you seek. Make a strong relationship with Him your top priority.  Overflow with thanksgiving, turn to the Lord with your need and find rest in Him. Look for fulfilment in the right place. Our help comes from the Lord. He is the God of our salvation. Stop looking for true and lasting satisfaction in the wrong areas, such as through your work, personal pleasure, or accumulation of knowledge or material possessions.

“Therefore, I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?” (Matt 6: 25). The Lord wants us to live our lives positively. He does not desire to see us face each day with fear and dread. He is not only our Saviour but also our burden-Bearer. God wants you to have a much better life —one that you enjoy! God will give you the ability to enjoy life, no matter your circumstances. In today’s passage, we learn from Jesus’ words to be appreciative of the gift of life and the numerous benefits God gives us with it. We may not have all we desire, but we can enjoy life despite what we don’t have.

Notice God’s gifts and thank Him for them. Make it a daily practice to thank God for each new day when you wake up from bed. Throughout the day, keep your mind on the good things in your life for which you are grateful. Don’t forget to acknowledge real blessings, such as your ability to breathe, eat or smile. Turn your worries into prayers. Whenever a concern enters your mind, find a promise of God that responds to it and turn it into a prayer point. Know that worry can’t accomplish anything good, but faith in the Lord has excellent power since nothing is impossible with God. Be specific as you share your concerns with God and prayers in the right way at the right time.

Scriptures.

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (Phil 4:6-7).

Cast all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. (1 Pet 5:7).

Anxiety in man’s heart causes depression, but a good word makes it glad. (Pro 12:25).
