I will lift up my eyes to the hills— from whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth. (Ps 121:1-2). When all hope is lost, nothing seems to be working, and human efforts and knowledge become impotent, you know it is time to return to your first love. It is time to turn to God for an ideal solution to your problems because, without His help, nothing works. Looking up to the Lord is not a sign of defeat but surrender. You are giving it all to Him to experience His unfailing love and infinite power that can turn your situation around for the better. He is the God Who made the heavens and the earth; thus, He knows what happens in both realms. He is the God Who sees and knows the plans and accusations set before you long before their manifestation. He is the God Who knows your end right from your beginning. In that negative situation, you purposefully and intentionally allow God to take the outcome of your life with the conviction that those who wait on the Lord will not be put to shame.
“He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, He who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.” (Ps 121:3-4). The greatest key to stability in any venture is to be grounded in the Lord, have a covenant with Him and seek His face every step of the way. In that way, He would hold you in His hand and establish your ways. He will keep you close and ensure that no harm befalls you and everything you do becomes successful. If your earthly parents love you dearly and want to keep you from harm, don’t you think God would do better? He would guard you jealously and keep an eye on all called by His name. Have the confidence that God is watching over you, your household and the works of your hands. Hence, you can go about your duties and fear nothing. The Almighty does not sleep nor slumber, which is an assurance of peace on your side. He is our insurance policy that never expires and never fails. May the Lord keep you and watch over you and your household now and forever.
Scriptures
The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace. (Num 6:24-26).
While I was with them in the world, I kept them in Your name. I have kept those whom You gave Me; none of them is lost except the son of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled. (Jn 17:12).
Because he has set his love upon Me, I will deliver him; I will set him on high because he has known My name. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honour him. I will satisfy him with a long life and show him My salvation.” (Ps 91:14-16).
