“And Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever. “(Exo 14: 13). The Israelites had finally left Egypt. But they were almost immediately faced with a huge problem, an impossible situation! An ocean in front and an army behind. Pharaoh was on his way to destroy them! As a child of God, one way or the other, we have been in the shoes of the Israelites. You thought you were out of one situation only to be presented with another. You were frustrated because you thought you were just about to sing your praise song or share your testimony, but that didn’t happen immediately. Another situation presented itself right at your doorstep. It is natural and human, just like the Israelites, to be so tired that you start wondering, asking questions, and complaining. You wonder why God will bring you so far and leave you halfway. But I have learnt in my walk with God that whenever these things happen, the glory of God is about to be revealed. The Lord spoke through Moses and told the Israelites they would not survive this journey even though it looked like death was facing them. Stand still! In other words, stand still does not waver in faith because glory is about to be revealed. God did the impossible and saved the Israelites. If you face problems all around and it looks like you have nowhere to turn to, be encouraged. Just look up to God because you are about to see His glory, and you will never be disappointed. This is the word of the Lord for you today.
