I am the Lord your God , Who brought you out of the land of Egypt; Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it. ( Ps 81 : 10). God’s problem with Israel was that after He had saved them, they stopped believing Him for anything else. They believed He could deliver, but they couldn’t believe that He could supply all needs and make them the greatest nation on earth . There are Christians who think like that. They are happy to be saved and happy that they are going to heaven, but beyond that, they limit what He can do in our lives .
I. Open your mouth wide.
We use our mouths to speak out words to take in food . When God tells us to open our mouths wide , it means to ask Him for big things . It also means having faith to receive great things from Him. God does not only want us to ask for big things for ourselves. He also wants us to ask for big things for others and for our world. Ultimately, the biggest thing that God wants in our world is for His will to be done on earth as it is in Heaven . In all of our prayers and our believing, we be filled with the glory of God as the waters cover the sea.
II. God will fill it.
God is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above all you can think or imagine. Open your mouth wide, and expect more. How do you expect more? You must anticipate unusual miracles , signs, and wonders. Live in divine expectations. God is not limited in the ways and tools He uses to manifest His will. He can use angels , humans, time, seasons, and nature to bring His will to pass. Don’t make small plans , don’t have small desires , and open your mouth wide. God wants to do great things for us in 2023.
