Part 3 (A).
“And his master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord made all he did to prosper in his hand. So Joseph found favour in his sight and served him. Then he made him overseer of his house, and all that he had he put under his authority.” (Gen 39:3-4). The presence of God becomes an avenue for God’s blessings over your life. We see that Joseph the slave boy now becomes a steward over Potiphar’s properties because he carried a particular anointing. With the oil to finish well, the presence of God needs to be evident in your life for all to witness. It is that oil and God’s company that separates you from others and grants you favour before men such that those who thought nothing good will now marvel at your transformation.
Part B.
It takes a lot of faith and humility to rest and trust God when you are under attack, misunderstood, and when rumours are spreading about you. When that happens, it’s tempting to want to do something about it. But you are most like Christ when you remain silent under attack. Jesus was constantly attacked, yet he never retaliated, even on His way to the cross. He remained silent before His accusers because He had entrusted Himself to the care of the Father. The Bible says, “Therefore let those who suffer according to the will of God commit their souls to Him in doing good, as to a faithful Creator.” (1 Pet 4:19). God won’t let you down. Trust Him to be your defender today.
