How frequently do you offer prayers? We don’t pray because we don’t fully appreciate its significance. Supplication is the primary focus of most of our prayers. We want more from God. We desire more wealth, homes, assets, resources, businesses, prosperity, kids, wives, husbands, vehicles, and, yes, a happy or trouble-free life. We are unaware of prayer and do not devote more time to it because the Body of Christ has failed to teach us about it. We instinctively curl up on our shelves and believe that all the time we spend praying was wasted when we pray for a long time and don’t notice any results. You can think you’ve wasted your time or that God has let you down if you’ve prayed for something for years and it hasn’t come to pass. I thought about that for a few years when my life was stagnating. I prayed a lot, but nothing was happening. I have repeatedly questioned God about why everything in my life has been delayed.
I may not be able to answer all your questions, but I have learnt several things over the years, and I think my life would have turned out better than I had imagined if I had known those lessons sooner. Even though I’m still not where I want to be, I’ve moved from where I was.
