“You will also declare a thing, and it will be established for you; so light will shine on your ways.” (Job 22:28). The Bible says we shall decree a thing, and those we say will be done. This means things do not automatically happen. If it did, we would not be encouraged to decree. Most Christians read the Bible but fail to confess what it says. Until we take the Word from the passages of the Bible and put it in our hearts we are not going to benefit from them.

Satan doesn’t care how lovely you are, he is not after your properties, and your beauty doesn’t scare him. You are not prettier than the devil, and you can check the Bible. The only thing Satan hates is the Christian who knows the Word and speaks it forth. I used to memorise Scriptures, but my speech was ungodly. I would say certain things Christians shouldn’t say and claim to be a joke. The Bible says we will be accountable for every idle word. (Matt 12:36). On Judgment Day, Jesus will not be smiling at our silly jokes. If I had known that earlier in life, I would have been more careful with my words. It is not too late to change, and I will encourage you to change your tongue because your destiny is in the very words you speak daily.

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.” (Pro 18:21). If you genuinely believe that life and death are in your mouth, you will constantly speak life, but the average Christian doesn’t believe that. God created the entire world with words, and the Word of God sustains the universe. (Heb 1:3). Everything God does is by speaking. The Word of Faith Movements took the power of words to another level such that they made man be God. This is heresy and not taught in the Bible. We are not God. However, we were created in His image, and there is no doubt that words are powerful.
